How to Prevent Corrosion for Buried Pipeline?

1. Petroleum asphalt-glass fiber cloth coating. This buried pipeline corrosion protection method mostly used in petroleum pipeline, and now has gradually been eliminated. Although it has advantages of low cost and wide source of raw material, it still not resistant to bacterial corrosion, and inferior physical property and construction environment.

2. Another buried pipe corrosion protection method is chlorosulfonated polyethylene coating-glass fiber cloth coating. This buried pipe corrosion protection method has good effect, wide temperature range, and it can cooperate use with cathodic protection. But the surface treatment requires high quality, thin coating and low mechanical strength.


3. Epoxy asphalt paint-glass fiber cloth coating. This kind of buried pipeline corrosion protection method is resistant to chemical, electrochemistry corrosivity is good, resistant to bacterial corrosion, high mechanical strength, wide range of application, it can cooperate use with cathodic protection. However, it caní»t use under low temperature(below 0íŠ), and surface treatment requirements is strict. This method always applies to municipal sewage treatment project.

4. Polyethylene insulated rubber tape cladding erosion resistant coating. This pipe corrosion protection method is easy to construct and mend, good corrosion resistant, but it has low mechanical strength, worse resistant to cathodic disbonding, not suitable to use with cathodic protection, poor sealing in irregular equipment. It always been used at petroleum and natural gas pipeline.

5. Clinkering epoxy coating. It has advantages of good corrosion resistant, high mechanical strength, high efficiency of construction. But it has been constructed in the workshop.

Cathodic protection. Cathodic protection is an advanced anti-corrosion technology, which has long service life and be able to predicate and monitor the running and corrosion condition in the pipeline.
